The Rosebud Burlesque Club was founded in 2007 in Saskatoon Saskatchewan to meet the needs of wayward Canadian
prairie girls. It has since established regular classic burlesque shows and has introduced the fair city to a fair bit of bits!
The Rosebuds will once again combine their signature wit with retro burlesque and Vaudevillian styles creating
a fun filled evening of theatrical entertainment! VaVa Vaudeville is an innovative completely immersive event set in the 1920's
30's Flapper era and you are invited to participate!!!
Part 1:
Come view a full scale, old school, Vaudevillian/Burlesque Performance at the Refinery Theatre 609 Dufferin Ave. Start your night off with a show!
Doors open at 7pm Show at 8pm
Part 2:
You will receive a card with your secret password to get you into the hottest Speakeasy in town! "The Pink Canoe Club" secret location TBA

**Please note that this is an audience participatory/immersive event! You are a participant -It will be similar to taking part in a
murder mystery party. Please come dressed in flapper era inspired clothing/costumes and even have a character name or alter ego if
you like! Most of all... Be prepared to dive right into this participatory experience! You make it all happen along side of our
performers. There has never been another event of this kind anywhere in the city and we are very excited to bring it to you!

Neo/New Burlesque is a revival or updating of the traditional burlesque performance.
A new generation, nostalgic for the spectacle and perceived glamour of the old times is determined to bring burlesque back! Today,
New Burlesque has taken many forms, but all have the common trait of honoring one or more of burlesque's previous incarnations,
with acts including striptease, expensive costumes, bawdy humor, cabaret and more. As with the earlier burlesque, neo-burlesque is
more focused on the "tease" in "striptease" than the "strip."
